Pets Tier List

Pets in My Jail Cell are a store claim, a VIP row, or a game pass. They are not a combat class. This list answers “what should I pick up on the way home,” not “what solo-carries night 12.” Pair it with how to get pets and the pet store page.

S — claim if you walk past the store with time left

  • Free or cheap store pets (beagle-class). Footage shows a beagle as the affordable adopt. It fills the companion slot, gives the cell a moving heart, and costs nothing that would have bought food. If the store is on your daytime route, grab it.
  • Any pet that is already in your path as a world pickup. Some clips show animals “just laying around.” If you can claim without a detour at orange light, that is S because the price is zero.

S does not mean they tank a slender patrol. They do not. Park them in the hide room so they do not draw your camera into the hall.

A — worth Robux only after a bunker

  • VIP store rows. Creators note some dogs labeled VIP. If you already bought VIP for the 401+ item catalog, take the dog. If you have not, do not buy VIP for the dog. Buy a room or Never Hungry first.
  • Guard-cat energy. One “100 days” video parks a cat as a joke guard. Cute. A-tier as decoration that still looks like a cell inhabitant, not as a turret.

B — identity purchases

Rolimon lists paid exotics that show up in the shop as passes:

  • Exotic Schnauzer Dog — 199 Robux
  • Exotic Penguin Pet — 99 Robux
  • Exotic Toucan Bird Pet — 99 Robux

These are B. They do not feed you. They do not add a door. They do photograph well in a lights show slot. If you want the full pass math, open exotic pets and the game pass tier list.

C — ignore during a threshold day

  • Pets that start a cooldown while you are 8 coziness short of a room. Footage includes “I’m on pet cooldown.” Do not stand in the store UI at dusk.
  • Chasing a wandering animal into the mall after dark. The mall has its own creepy occupants (creators mention a “baby head”). Your beagle is not worth that hallway.
  • Buying an exotic before furniture S-tier is in the bunker. That is how cells look rich and play poor.

Co-op and pets

In a 9-player server, pet stores can be a traffic jam. Claim and leave. Do not block the adopt prompt. Pets are account-bound in spirit even when the model walks; do not grief someone else’s claim. If you are splitting the daytime route, the pet runner is the person who is already fed and already holding no couch.

Night behavior

Treat pets as furniture that might move. If a companion clips you out of a corner, unequip or park it. If a future patch adds pet noise, they drop to C for hide rooms and stay B for show slots. Until the studio says otherwise, assume they are cosmetic AI.

Codes will not replace this list until a verified drop actually grants a fish. Sploing remains unverified. When a real pet code lands, it jumps to S because the price is a paste.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common My Jail Cell questions.

What is the best pet in My Jail Cell?

The one you can claim free before dusk. Beagle-class store pets beat 199 Robux exotics for actual survival value.

Do pets help you fight monsters?

No. Hide yourself. Park the pet. They are companions and decoration, not turrets.

Should I buy the toucan or penguin first?

Neither until Never Hungry, a room, or Dolly is already decided. Both exotic birds are 99 Robux cosmetics.

Can codes give pets?

Not according to any verified redeem. A blog claimed Sploing grants a fish. It is still unverified on the codes hub.
